Behrooz Forootan

Behrouz Foroutan was born on April 1, 1945, in the Amiriyeh neighborhood of Tehran. He lost his father during his childhood, and with the perseverance and dedication of his mother, he learned the values of independence and hard work at an early age. As a teenager, Foroutan began working in small jobs, such as selling toys and doing technical tasks to support his family, experiences that nurtured his entrepreneurial spirit.

After completing his studies in management at the University of Tehran, he spent some time teaching but soon followed his passion for starting his own business. In 1977, he founded the Behrouz brand by launching a small food production workshop. The workshop began with products like Olivier salad and mayonnaise, gradually expanding into one of the largest food manufacturing companies in the country.

Over the years, Behrouz Foroutan has received more than 400 domestic and international awards and trophies, earning recognition as one of Iran’s most successful figures in the food industry. He also established the Iran Food Research Center and has been actively involved in social and cultural initiatives. Foroutan is widely regarded as a role model of entrepreneurship and perseverance for younger generations.
